Research Summary:
It has been difficult with conventional technology to quantitatively evaluate crack rates from road surface images captured by smartphones or drive recorders installed in vehicles. The University of Tokyo, Nichireki Corporation, and our company have worked to develop a technology that can accurately calculate crack rates from images taken by general-purpose devices such as smartphones and drive recorders using our unique video processing AI.
